3. At a café or other event, you’re not the centre of her thoughts and you go in and out of focus in her mind. You can’t expect dog-like devotion but you have a right to be the main course on the menu most of the time together.

4. She uses words to indicate you’re very close to her but when you physically close in, she slips out of the embrace and stays at a distance. Either she’s indecisive or she’s not serious.

5. She speaks of other men and expects you to help her with her attempts to help them with troubles they’ve conveniently laid on her.

6. She walks ahead. When you both go to a café, she is half a pace ahead. She’s simply not ‘tuned in’ to your pace and your rhythm. At the door, she barely notices you’ve held it open for her.

7. She has a "less is more" dress code but when you touch the merchandise, it's all surprise and ‘later maybe’. This is a big factor and if you go for the ‘underdressed’ then this is what you often get. Or the complete opposite, which is worse.

8. There’s no time for ‘sweet nothings’ – simple walks in the forest kicking twigs away and chatting about nothing. No time for laughing over stupid jokes and intimately taking in a home movie.

9. Money begins to play quite a large role in the relationship. She tends to not hold off but to buy the item anyway. Shopping is the preferred time spent between you.

10. She neither can nor is willing to account for great blanks in her weekly programme when she is off-limits to you. She is excessively for a ‘no-questions’ and ‘it’s my life’ stance.
